Project Description
Eyebright (Euphrasia nemorosa)
I took these pictures of these cute flowers when we were having our picnic in the Pyrenees without even realizing what they were. I’ve just been identifying some wild flower pictures and excited to find out they are actually Eyebright, another herb I commonly use in my clinic.
It is the aerial parts used in herbal medicine. We use eyebright medicinally when the patients has a cold with congestion and catarrh. As Eyebright is a mucous membrane tonic, it also works well for patients with dry eyes, as a tonic to take internally.
It is anti – inflammatory and helpful for sinus congestion, ear infections, hay fever, conjunctivitis and sinus headaches
